我忍不住破涕为笑了。

第二天，继父带我上街了。有生以来，我第一次看见这么多人，我真是害怕极了。我羞怯的低着头，两手死死拽住继父的衣角，就像他的一个尾巴似的。

“河子，抬起头，别害怕！”继父大声说。

继父响亮的嗓门立刻引来了许多目光，尤其是和我同龄的孩子，边瞧边嘁嘁喳喳。

“喂，过来认识一下，小家伙们，这是河子，你们的小朋友河子。”继父亲切的招呼他们。

于是，他们走过来，友好的问这问那，邀请我和他们玩。

冬天里，继父的哮喘犯的很重。睡不着的时候，就让我陪他坐在火炉前，听他讲大海的故事。

“海水是蓝的，和天空一样蓝；海水是咸的；海很大很深；海里有鱼，大鱼小鱼；海上游船，大船小船……”

我听的着了迷：“我能看见海吗?”

“能，等你长大些，长到15岁，我就带你去看大海。”

我的眼前豁然亮了。

我一年一年的长大了，也长高了，懂得了许多事情。按照继父的规定，每天我要做一件对我来说难度较大的家务活。学校不收畸形儿，继父就自己当老师；我每天要学5个生词，并背熟一篇课文。其余的时间，便是听继父那永远也讲不完的海的故事。

母亲终于走了，是跟一个在门口摆摊的裁缝跑的，丢下我和继父相依为命。

继父的身体虽然越来越坏，但他仍然托着病病歪歪的身子，成天带我去这去那，鼓励我独自进商店买东西，做家务活儿。每当我做了什么我原先不能做的事情的时候，继父就变得欣喜若狂，仿佛我做了件惊天动地的大事。

“你真能干，河子。”

我们把看海的日子定在明年的夏天，到那时我就15岁了。继父说现在所做的一切都是为看海做准备。继父说去海边之前，让我必须学会应付一切。

漫长的冬季熬过去了，整整一个冬天，继父病倒在床上。我一个人在镇子上穿街走巷，为继父请医，买药，办各种各样的事情。我独自承担了全部家务。正在这样的时刻，我觉得自己真正长大了。

一个春日融融的上午，继父把我叫到床边，慢慢的说：“河子，我就要死了，有件事情我必须告诉你；早在我退休的前一年，医生就说过我是敏性哮喘，必须远离海洋，所以我是永远都不能带你看海的。我对你撒了谎，请你原谅我。”

当时，我觉得非常失望，非常委屈，我做了这么多年的准备，到头来却是一个骗局。我伤的哭了。

就在这天夜里，继父安安静静的去世了。我失去了在这个世界上唯一的亲人。现在，我这个畸形女孩是一个人生活了。

当我穿行在闹市上时，当我熟练的做家务时，当我受邻居委托替他照看孩子，而每月从他那里得到40元的生活费时，我突然明白了继父“看海”的意义。有无数次，我站在继父的遗像前，悄声对他说：“伯伯，我看见了大海，真的，我看见了……”

在这次的暑假里，我看到了很多，听到了很多，也感受到很多。而这些就像万花筒里夺彩炫目的花，而里面最灿烂的是那一次难以忘怀的大海之旅。

那一天，我和姐姐一起去惠东玩，那儿有个双月湾，还没开发，所以很少人知道，环境很好，水也很干净。
