(2)计分标准
要使面试评分尽量具有客观性，在设计评价量表时，应使评分有一个确定的计分幅度及评价标准。
A.评价标准等级，在设计面试评价量表时，可把面试标准等级分为三级、四级、五级等，在一等级有一定的标准内容，在评分等级的用词上，尽量体现等距原则，保持分寸、程度和数量上的连续性，避免幅度较大的跳跃。
B.将各等级进行量化。等级量化就是对各评价标准予以刻度。可以是定量的，如1、2、3、4、5……分10、20、30、40、50......;也可以是定性的，如优、良、中、差、劣或A、B、C、D、E。

在面谈前的准备阶段，主试人的主要工作，其实是设法令自己及应聘者放松。
1.让自己放松
有些主试人喜欢利用招聘面谈，来向其他高级同事证明他有高明的面谈技巧，或令应聘者无言以对的口才，他们可能会发问一些极难回答的问题，令面谈气氛向负面方向发展。也有一些主试人自以为可操生杀大权，手握尚方宝剑，态度因而较为倨傲，不乐意用亲切友善的行为来与应聘者接触，无形中为面谈加压，令应聘者心理负上额外的担子。
这种行为首先会令主试人分心，难以集中精神准备面谈;而且，有经验的应聘者便会乘虚而入，趁主试人自顾不暇之际将准备已久的台词背诵出来，引导主试人步入面试的误区(有关面试误区的讲述见下文)，作出了错误的招聘决定。而经验较浅的应聘者会因此比较紧张，影响正常发挥。

三、面谈评价方法

极力避免主观因素的影响，要从记录中找寻证据支持自己，切勿以印象或个人喜好作准则。若记录没有支持证据，该项工作表现维度便应获低分，主试人在评分时，要竭力保持客观，脑海中应只有应征者的行为表现，而非个人相貌、学历、身材等到背景资料。
(3)检查评分与记录
应该取出记录来核对一遍，看看不同的应征者则否有相同的回答。若真的有类似的答案出现，主试人还要进一步检查评量表，看看他是否给予相同的评分。
相同的行为表现，应该给予相同的评分。换句话说，无论应征者是谁，只要他曾作出一些与工作要求符合的行为，主试人便给予高分，反之则给予低分。
主试人还要从评量表中，将一些关键性评价要素的评分检查一下，比较高分者与低分者的答案，重新看看他们的行为表现，是否与评分匹配。若有需要，主试人在此时可调整评分。
(4)作招聘决定
在同分的情况下，主试人需要查阅评价量表，若使用加权量表，在权重较高类获得高分的应聘者，应首先考虑聘用。
2.面试评价量表设计
面试评价量表由若干评价要素构成，是在面试过程中主试人现场评价记录应聘者在回答各评价要素中表现优劣程度的计量表。由于面试就是要根据应聘工作职位的要求对应聘者进行评价，以明确应聘者是否具备任职条件的过程，因此，设计面试评价量表时，诸评价要素除反映工作职位要求外，还应当是可以通过面试的技巧进行评价。
