中国学生在爱尔兰有越来越多的趋势，回头想想，不知不觉，也已经来爱尔兰两年了。在这两年的时间里，所见到的，所听到的，所感受到的，足够是我一辈子的财产了。

一：踏上征途
拿到签证，挥泪告别父母，走上飞机，飞离中国这片土地的时候，亲爱的同学们，你们就已经算是一个留学生了。
全程大约是15个小时，飞机上的食品千万别客气，别不好意思，但要学会说THANK YOU 。这是对你的第一个忠告。
到了中转站（法国，荷兰，德国等等）下了飞机不要惊慌，不要象没头的苍蝇一样的乱转，如果找不到转机的候机厅，请不要让自己的嘴巴空着，你可以问啊，或者在你上飞机前就写好英文的询问纸条，如果您的英文口语不好。千万不要因为机场的各类商店，留恋地误了时间，千万注意啊。还有，不要乱购物。
上了飞机以后大约是1个小时（荷兰），其他的的时间顺延。你就会发现你已经到了你的目的地——爱尔兰
下飞机前检查自己所有的东西，不要拉在飞机上了。
爱尔兰的机场明显的小而落后，但这和你没关系，手持你的机票，护照，学校的通知书（有时候会问你要的），到机场出口的小窗的时候会有人问你的，诸如年龄，学校，来干什么的。朋友，不要惊慌，这可能是你第一次在爱尔兰的国土上和人交谈了，千万放松好吗？
出了检查口，就该取你自己的托运行李了，拿到行李，如果学校有人接机，你就耐心的等着，用自己的眼睛找，不要到处乱跑。
如果你半个小时还没有等到，记住，立刻向自己的学校打电话，学校会告诉你该怎么做的。
踏上征途到此可以告一个段落了，我希望当中没有漏什么，这些东东可以给我们那些兴奋的不知道在途中注意点什么的社民一点帮助

当你的足迹塌上这片美丽的土地时，你应该时刻提醒自己——我是一个堂堂正正的中国人。
你首先接触的也许就是你的寄宿家庭了。所谓的寄宿家庭（HOST FAMILY），是你就读的语言学校，或者是大学帮你申请的在爱尔兰留学期间的生活居住地。
一般是和当地人在同一个屋檐下，那你要好好学会怎么做人了！
外国人喜欢什么不喜欢什么，忌讳什么，不忌讳什么，直接影响到你和他们的关系，以及你在这个家庭中的地位
一般来说，中国留学生大多数都只住一个月就搬了，自己找房子，为什么呢？
一：价格原因。
HOST FAMILY的价格一般比较昂贵，每一个月大多数为550---700，包三餐，也有四周一付的，那就更不合算了。
二：生活习惯问题。
外国人不喜欢在家里吵闹，或者是爆炒食品，一般都不太用油炒，而我们的学生在生活环节上有很多和外国人格格不入，而又在别人的家里，不能造次，没办法，忍吧……一个月后……再也忍不下去了，不看别人的脸色，于是就搬家了！
主要就是这两个原因
PS：外国人忌讳的主要：
1：无休止的吵闹
2：在他们面前讲中国话
3：长时间的洗澡
4：炒炸食品，乌烟瘴气
5：不注意个人卫生，不整理房间
这些都会影响你和他们的关系
当然你也可以获得以下权利：
1，你觉得任何地方不满意的，你可以要求学校给你换HOST FAMILY，你应该学会保护自己。
2，你应该在房子里有自己的空间，你可以带朋友来玩，但最好不要过夜。
3，不必支付除房租以外的任何费用，除非你自己愿意（比如和他们出去旅游等等）
在这期间你必须搞定以下事情：
1：到移民局办理绿卡（注意，这里的绿卡不是永久居留证，只是你在爱尔兰暂时居住的许可证）带好你的护照，学校的信，就没有问题了。免费
2：尽快到银行办理银行卡，带好学校的信，护照，到学校指定的银行办理。（记的要记住你们家的地址，别人要问的），免费
*3：办学生卡。这个之所以打星号是可办可不办，但笔者建议您办，很多东西都可以打折，车票也可以打折。好处不少。大约21欧元左右
4：税卡。如果你要打工，这个东西是必须的，但也有不要税卡的工作，这里不介绍了，属于歪门邪道。带好护照。费用免费
做到以上这些东西之前你要好好的找到一所房子，接下来要好好的告诉你怎么找房子！很重要哦！

高中申请推荐信一般为3封推荐信，即在读学校的英语、数学、班主任或校长推荐信，同时，学校一般都有相应的推荐信表格，需要老师填写并附上一封完整的推荐信。每封推荐信必须由推荐信老师亲笔签名，不能复印。有的学校有额外推荐信，历史老师、科学老师或者爱好爱好老师(音乐、艺术老师)的推荐信为好。
留学夸大要留意两个方面，一是推荐信要有故事情节，二是要塑造优秀的、全方面发展的学生形象。
针对学生申请高中时推荐信应写有故事情节的情况，中国老师写的推荐信的普通题目是太笼统，用中国化的思维模式来先容学校声看、进学标准、学天生绩优秀等等，这样不是不好，只是对申请高中来讲，的招生办更希看家长、老师等提供一些对学生更有价值的信息。他们不希看看到的仅仅是简单地陈述学生多么优秀，而是要具体到某一件事上。她以为，申请高中时提供的推荐信要有故事情节，是通过实际发生的小故事来体现孩子的性格特征、学习能力等方面。譬如，如何积极参与小组讨论或者活动、学习习惯如何、在面对学习困难时怎么样、是否虚心听老师和家长的批评、学习中怎么和同学一起共同进步等，这样才能表现出活生生的一面，让推荐信更加生动，而不是空洞。招生老师更希看看到的是布满故事情节的推荐信，从心里读出一个“活生生”的申请者。

二、内容
推荐信里面要先介绍推荐人和学生的关系，内容上主要是写对学生的能力方面的推荐，要通过几个具体的例子来描述学生的优势，比如在描写到学生的能力的时候，就可以把学生的成绩、获得过的奖励和参加过的学术会议给讲述出来。如果是说工作方面的事情的话，可以说一下学生的领导能力和团队写作能力等等，学生对待学习和工作的态度是推荐人要进行评价的。最后还要说明是支持学生到这个学校学习此专业的，并且对学生是充满信心的，能够对学生能够进入到这个学校而感到自豪。
三、注意事项
递交推荐信是有截止的时间的，要提醒推荐人截止的时间是在哪一天，推荐信的内容最好是控制在一张A4纸，如果内容写得太多了的话，招生的老师也是没有耐心都把它看完的。还有要写得客观一些，对学生太过于肯定的话是不会让招生的老师相信事实就是如此的，可以在推荐信中说一下学生还有哪些要改进的地方。
