一、衣物
新加坡在赤道附近，温度很少有低于20℃的时候，所以大家都不需要准备厚外套，带上一些实用的短袖长袖、短裤长裤、短裙长裙(女生)，和贴身的衣服就可以了。

However, at every monthly check-up for three-and-a-half years the office staff had nothing but kind words of encouragement and optimism. Now after the completion of the treatment I had reason to smile. Dr. Wang helped turn me from a shy adolescent who feared smiling into a confident, outgoing young man. His skills not only brought back my smile, but also my sense of confidence in all aspects of my life. Whereas once I feared drawing attention to myself and thus shied away from leadership posts and debates, now I am a completely different person. After this preliminary ‘ patient-doctor’ exposure to dentistry, I substantially increased my involvement in the field to determine if dentistry really was for me. My participation with the UBC Pre-Dental Society allowed me to communicate with various professionals in the field. I also investigated opportunities to volunteer in the University Dental Clinic or participate in research work. After speaking to a couple of professors in the UBC Faculty of Dentistry asking them about research opportunities, I found a topic that interested me. Dr. Putnins, of the Division of Periodontics, offered me a position in his lab to conduct a semi-quantitative analysis to determine the levels of endotoxin in dental unit water lines.
After taking many water samples from the University Dental Clinic and quantifying the amounts of endotoxin (lipopolysaccahride) in those samples with an Limulus Abeocyte Lysate test, I prepared to publish dentistry’ s first account of this type of experiment. I conducted the study over a 16-week span (Jan.-Apr.‘ 98), and the research work counted as 3.0 credits towards my undergraduate degree. Because the vast majority of my work was self-directed, I submitted my findings for evaluation by the faculty in a 32-page report with 46 references, and I also defended my methods before a panel of professors. Impressed by the findings and results, Dr. Putnins will use my study as a key component of a journal article he is currently preparing for the Journal of Dental Research (JDR). The school also submitted an abstract of my findings for presentation at the upcoming 77th General Session of the International Association of Dental Research (IDAR) to be held at Vancouver, Canada. I am keenly looking forward to this unique opportunity to have my work appear before distinguished members of the dental research community. My positive research experience definitely helped reinforce my goal of becoming a dentist.
In addition, my employment as a Canada Customs Inspector has helped me improve my level of social awareness and helped me develop qualities I can usefully apply to dentistry. 出国留学英国白金汉大学申请条件
一、学术
预科：在读BU的本科课程之前如果还要读预科的话，先要去申请预科的课程，预科的要求是学生要在17岁以上并且有高中的毕业证。

尽管大部分项目的材料递交都是透过网申系统直接递交，但是部分项目，例如NUS的应用经济学，NTU的管理经济学，应用经济学，还是需要在网申之后寄送纸质材料，顺丰寄送即可，费用在70RMB左右(从上海出发到新加坡寄比较慢的那种快递)，大概一周材料可以寄达。
二、留学费用
1、新加坡公立大学读研究生费用
新加坡公立大学 ， 硕土学费约为 30000 元新币 / 年 ， 约合人民币 150000 元。 不过 ， 新加坡公立大学对外国学生开放助学金政策 ， 即给予近50% 的补助 ， 这样一来每年新加坡硕士留学费用约为 9000 元人民币。 但是必须在毕业后在新加坡本地工作三年。即如果读完两年的硕士课程 ， 至少要花 18 万人民币。
2 、新加坡私立大学读研究生费用
新加坡私立大学硕士学制通常为一年至一年半。硕士学费约为 20000-30000 元新币 / 年 ， 约合人民币 100000-150000 元。
三、留学条件
1、GPA
新加坡的公立大学比较看重申请者的本科学校背景，几乎每个学校的每个专业都会要求“ At least a good relevant bachelor's degree”。对于GPA的要求，不管是新加坡国立大学还是南洋理工大学，每个专业对GPA都有自己的要求。比如新加坡国立大学的环境类专业授课型硕士要求GPA不低于3.0，折算成百分制差不多是75。对研究型硕士要求80以上。有些学校或专业虽然没有明确给出要求，但根据往年其录取的学生分数，要想申请公立的大学，对于我们国内211/985高校的学生，GPA一般要求在80以上，对于双非学校的学生，一般要在85以上。私立大学一般要求GPA在75以上。
2、托福或雅思、GRE
根据往年其录取的学生分数，公立大学硕士申请要求雅思成绩在6.5-7.0分左右，托福95以上，部分专业需要GRE，商科专业一般需要2年及以上的工作经验。私立大学硕士申请要求低一些，雅思6.0-6.5分左右或者通过学校英文测试。但每个大学或专业都有自己的要求，比如新加坡南洋理工大学的电子工程专业要求雅思不低于了6.5，托福的话，笔考不低于600，机考不低于250，网考不低于100。新加坡国立大学的建筑与环境工程系要求托福不低于580-600，网考不低于85。雅思的话，要在7分以上。GRE的语文和数学部分均不低于320，写作不低于3.5。但是要强调的是通常你的托福、雅思和GRE等分数有年限要求，比如新加坡南洋理工大学的电子工程专业要求必须是最近两年内获得的。新加坡国立大学的建筑与环境工程系要求GRE必须是5年内获得的。
提醒大家公立大学不接受专科生申请，部分私立大学接受专科生。总体来说私立大学对你的经济支撑条件更看重一些。
3、其他材料
除了以上硬性条件要求，需要提供的材料中最重要的是研究计划、推荐人参考，简历(CV/Resume)，个人陈述和作品集，但以上材料不是所有学校和专业都要提供的，要根据学校和专业来定，比如南洋理工大学工程学院开设的专业都要求提供简历、研究计划等。
四、申请时间
新加坡的硕士项目没有统一的考试时间，一般每年有两次入学机会，比如新加坡国立大学和南洋理工大学是每年的1月和8月入学，新加坡管理大学是每年的1月和7月入学，各私立大学有自己的入学时间，一般是滚动式录取。但申请时间一般是入学前2-4个月。
篇10：新加坡名校留学申请书参考
一、公立院校
作为政府创建的王牌院校，新加坡六所公立的大学，拥有教学质量高、学术氛围好的优势，而且整体实力都很强，自然成为国内学生的首选，大家进行申请的热门院校。
学术成绩上，对不同等级的申请者要求是不一样的，如果是985/211学校的学生，只需要保证GPA在3.0分以上即可;而本科读的是普通院校，则需要准备GPA3.5分以上的成绩。
当然大前提是大家完成了本科的学习，并且可以出示合格的两证;授课的语言是英语，所以大家准备IELTS成绩单的话分数要在6.5分以上，TOEFL则需要80分以上。
二、私立院校
在新加坡，高等院校的主体还是私立大学，90%的院校都是私立的，学生的选择会更多一些，大家要知道的是新加坡的私立和国内的私立是不一样的，大部分都是政府承认的，不承认的大家也不要申请。
申请的门槛则要低上不少了，而且也没有学校资质的限制，所以大家的毕业生申请的门槛是一致的，只要保证自己的GPA在2.5分以上就有申请的资格，当然不能够保证入学，能力越强越有优势。
如果申请者是专科的学历，除了要有三年的完整学习经验的话，还需要有一年以上的工作经验;而语言的要求也会相应降低，IELTS有6.0分就足够了，TOEFL75分也够了。
三、理工学院
新加坡还有理工学院，由于不是大学结尾，不少家长会认为这是专科院校，国内不受认可，但是实际上不是这样的，他们更重视技能的培养，学生就业的前景会更好。
而申请也不需要走复杂的流程，大家只需要参加新加坡的O-Level考试，和本校学生一样是用考试的成绩单提交申请就可以了，考试中就包括了英语的考核，不需要额外进行准备。
新加坡留学面试指南
一、面试方式
1.现场面试
大部分学校，会要求学生前往学校接受现场的面试，这样更方便学校对学生的综合能力和临场能力进行考核，需要大家做好材料的准备，并且提前前往新加坡进行准备。
由于是面对面的模式，大家还需要将自己的仪表整理好，并且材料也要提前进行熟悉，在进行交流的时候，需要进行眼神的交流，尽量表现得大方一些，才能够留下一个好的印象。
2.电话面试
而不方便的学生可以申请通过电话来面试，这本来是比较小众的方式，不过由于今年的疫情原因，这种方式变成为了大多数人的选择，可以省钱而且也会更方便一些。
大家之需要提前约定好时间，然后接通电话进行交流即可，大家只需要保持自己的语气镇定，并且能够流利的回答出所有的问题就可以了，不用面对面，大家就不会那么的紧张。
二、考核内容
会确认学生能不能够顺利的完成学业，要对自己在国内的学业进行介绍，并且阐述自己出国之后的学习规划，并且要比较清晰流畅有逻辑的表述出来，同步会考核学生的英语水平。
然后就是个人的能力方面，学术和语言之外，还有性格、潜力、应答机巧等方面，以及基础的自我介绍和反问环节，都是需要大家进行准备的方面。
三、面试技巧
大家在面对提问的时候，一定要听清楚问题，如果没听清可以提出再听一遍;而听清楚问题后也不要贸贸然的回答，要先答复稿，列出一二三之后，才可以比较清晰的展示。
面试要求使用英语作答，大家就不要出现中文，这样会显得很不专业;而且大家需要自己把控好时间，面试的时间要控制在十分钟以上，时间太短会不利于大家的发挥。
