1. She takes a shower at 8:00. 她八点钟洗淋浴。
shower是名词,意思是“淋浴”。表示冲淋浴时,还可用have a shower。如:
We take / have a shower every evening. 我们每天晚上冲淋浴。
2. What a funny time to eat breakfast!吃早餐的时间可真有趣!
what在此不作“什么”讲,不是疑问词,而是形容词“多么”,这时它用于感叹句,句尾用感叹号。当感叹部分的中心词是名词时,用what引导;当感叹部分的中心词是形容词或副词时,用how引导。如:
What a clever boy (he is)!他是一个多么聪明的孩子啊!
How clever he is!他多么聪明啊!
3.To get to work, he takes the number 17 bus to the Sai Te Hotel. 为了上班,他乘17路公共汽车到赛特酒店。
动词take在这里不是“带走”的意思,而是“乘车(船)”。如:
She often takes the number 5 bus to the factory. 她经常乘五路汽车去工厂。
4. People love to listen to him. 人们喜爱听他演奏。
listen是不及物动词,若后跟宾语时,要加to,构成listen to sth.“听......”。如:
My father listens to the radio at seven in the evening. 我父亲在晚上七点听收音机。
5.本单元我们学了两个表时间的介词at 和in,加上以前学的介词on,对这三个表时间的介词用法可做以下小结:
●at用在时刻前,也可用来表示“在正午,在夜晚”。如:at nine, at noon
●in用在月份、季节、年份前,也可用来表示“在早上、在下午、在晚上”。如: in January , in spring , in , in the morning
●on用在日期、星期、节日前,也可用来表示具体某天或某天的早上、下午、晚上等。如: on November 1st, on Monday, on Children's Day, on Tuesday evening
6. Best wishes. 最好的祝愿。
这句话常见于信的结尾。best是good的最高级形式,意为:“最好的”;wish在这里是名词“祝愿”的意思,其复数形式为wishes,如:

1. I want to join the music club. 我想参加音乐俱乐部。
动词join是“参加(某个组织成为其成员)”。一般常和介词in连用。如:
May I join the League?我可以入团吗?
May I join in the game?我可以加入这游戏吗?
2. Can you help kids with swimming?你能帮助孩子们学游泳吗?
“help sb. with sth.” 意思是“在某方面帮助某人”,有时可与 “help sb. (to)do sth.”进行同义转换。如:
I often help my mother with / (to)do housework. 我经常帮助妈妈做家务。
3. Are you good with kids?你和孩子们相处得好吗?
“be good with sb.”相当于 “get on well with sb.”意思是“与某人相处得好(融洽)”。如:
Our English teacher is good with / gets on well with us. 我们的英语老师同我们相处得很好。
4. We need help for our Beidaihe School Trip. 学校北戴河之游需要帮助。
(1)need意思是“需要”,作实义动词,该句中的help是名词作need的宾语。如:
He doesn't need the bike now. 他现在不需要那辆自行车。
need又可作情态动词,但通常用于否定句或疑问句中。如:
Need he do it now?他需要现在做吗?肯定回答用:Yes, 主语+must.;否定回答:No, 主语+needn't.。
(2)介词for在这里表示目的,意思是“为了”。如:
We study for the people. 我们为人民学习。
5. May I know your name? 我可以知道你的名字吗?
May I ...?或Could/ Can I ...?表示客气,礼貌的语气。对于请求许可的肯定回答常用:
Yes. / Certainly. / Of course. 等。否定回答常用: I'm sorry, but ...或No, you mustn't / can't.等。
6. Can you play the piano, the trumpet, the drums, or the guitar? 你会弹奏钢琴,吹喇叭,敲鼓,或者弹吉他吗?
(1) play意为“弹;吹奏”乐器类名词时,名词前要用the; 当其后接球类名词时,名词前不加定冠词the。如:
She plays the piano beautifully. 她钢琴弹得很好。
He likes playing football. 他喜爱踢足球。
(2)此句为简单的选择疑问句,即提问者提供两种或两种以上情况,让对方从中作出选择的句子。它的基本结构是:一般疑问句+or+一般疑问句(后一部分与前一部分相同的成分常常省略)。回答时,不用yes或no,而是选择其中一种回答。

1. Let's play baseball. 我们打棒球吧。
①let's 是let us的缩略形式,“let+us+动词原形+其他”,意思是“让我们......吧。”,常用于提出建议。肯定回答一般用“OK. / All right.”;否定回答时一般用“Sorry, I...”如:
-Let's play basketball. 让我们玩篮球吧。
-OK. 好吧。
②play baseball的意思是“打棒球”,类似的还有:play basketball打篮球;play volleyball 打排球等。请注意:play后跟各种球类名词时,其后不接the, 而其后接乐器类名词时,要接the。如:play the piano 弹钢琴等。
2. That sounds good. 那听起来不错。
本句指示代词that,用来指代第一人所提出的建议(Let's play volleyball.)。动词sound的意思是“听起来”,属于系动词,后面接形容词作表语,表明听的感觉。如:
That sounds very interesting. 那听起来很有趣。
3. Join us soon!快来加入我们吧!
本句是一个祈使句,其中的动词join(=become a member of)意思是“参加,加入”,常用的结构为:join sb./join in sth.。如:
join the League入团; join the army参军等。
4. But he doesn't play sports. 但是他并不参加运动。
but 是一个常用的连词,在句中表示转折关系,连接前后两个互为相反的内容,常与not连用。而and也是连词,但它是表示递进关系,是对前面内容的补充。如:
I like singing, but I can't sing well. 我喜欢唱歌,但唱得不好。
