不要把教师的讲台看作是皇帝的宝座或是传道的讲坛！老师坐得高一点，不是为了让你们向他祈祷，而是为了使你们彼此看得清楚一些。老师不是教官，也不是上帝，他不是一切都知道，他也不可能一切全知道。假如他装作知晓一切的样子，那么你们宽恕他就是，但不要相信他！相反地，他若承认，他不是一切都知道，那你们要爱戴他！因为他是值得你们爱戴的。另外，正因为老师并不是理应受到这么大的爱戴，所以他对你们对他的仰慕将会由衷地感到高兴。还要说一点的是：老师不是魔术家，而是一个园丁。他可以，并且将抚育和培植你们，但成长全靠你们自己！
