There are three main reasons contrbuting to the Chinese learning fever. Firstly, with the deepening of China's reform and opening-up,more foreigners would like to invest in China, do business with Chinese prople and travel around China. And these can be done better by communication in Chinese. In addition, Chinese traditional culture is generally accepted by the world in the post-industrial age. 摘要：本文主要针对大学生在交际过程中存在的“聋哑”现象及教学过程中存在的普遍问题进行分析，并提出相应的具有实际意义的解决方法。

一、“聋哑英语”现象的成因

1.不当的学习方式是造成“聋哑英语”现象的主要原因。

首先，学生在听的过程中学习目的不是很明确，存在错误的理解方式。其次，学生的文化背景知识不足，理解起来困难加大。再次，学生的课后听说练习明显不够。除此之外，还有其他非语言因素影响学生听说能力的提高，比如情感因素，包括学生是否有正确的学习动力、良好的心理素质等。

2.传统的教学模式是造成“聋哑英语”现象的关键因素。

第一，教师对所听内容的相关文化背景知识介绍不详细。教师应在听说训练前为学生提供大量的背景资料帮助学生理解材料。第二，传统的听说教学方法阻碍学生听说能力的提高。教师总是把听力材料从头至尾一遍甚至几遍地放给学生听，然后提问课后问题，再对原文进行翻译、解释，这样便导致学生听说分离，学习积极性、主动性不高，课堂缺少师生互动，出现“聋哑英语”。第三，听说材料的选择十分重要。有的听说材料枯燥乏味，远离学生的现实生活，导致学生对听说不感兴趣，产生厌烦心理。

3.教学设备不完善，课程设置不合理。

有些学校在对学生进行听说训练上没有给予足够的重视，设置课程时忽略了听说课。这些客观因素都会间接影响学生对听说的重视程度和学习态度。

二、解决“聋哑英语”问题的主要方法

1.改进传统的教学模式，听说互促。

听与说是一切语言活动的基础，二者相互依存、相互促进。以往听力教学的不足之处就在于没有让学生充分地说。笔者在教学中采用听力开始前先预测材料内容的方法，即在给出听力材料给予之前让学生猜测，讨论相关的内容，调动学生的积极性，因而在听时学生比以往投入更多的精力。听力后的有效提问也很重要，有的教师只是简单地对答案，这是远远不够的。《大学英语听力》（修订本）增加了口头练习部分，为提高学生的口语表达能力提供了很好的.材料。比如笔者会在教学中让学生就所听到的内容进行对话练习或分角色表演等。总之，笔者在听力教学中加大学生说和表演的比重，收到了事半功倍的效果。

对学生不愿开口、怕出错误这一现象，笔者采用多鼓励、少纠错的方法，多给学生展示自己才能的时间和空间，这有利于增强学生的自信。当然，我们在口语训练中对学生错误较多的地方应适时地给予纠正。

2.加强文化背景知识的积累。

语言与文化是相辅相成的。在听说练习中增加文化知识的讲解是十分必要的，因为许多实际交际中的错误是由于文化知识欠缺造成的。笔者在教学实践中注重文化知识的讲解，使学生学习语言的同时了解该国的文化。与此同时，增加贴进学生生活的内容，提高学生的学习积极性。

3.开展丰富多彩的课外活动，提高听说能力。

提高听说能力，仅靠课堂上的训练是远远不够的，因此在课上精选资料、互动交流的同时，笔者还鼓励学生课后自我训练，并为调动学生的积极主动性进行了多种尝试。如鼓励学生参加校内外的“英语角”活动，组织学生听英文歌曲，看英文短篇电影，并利用课上3～5分钟的时间请同学们上讲台把自己听到的、看到的、有兴趣的内容与大家分享，这些都提高了学生对听、说训练的兴趣，变被动学习为主动学习，取得了良好的效果。学生通过这些活动，扩大了词汇量，增强了语言交流能力，这样不仅有利于语言的学习，而且有利于学生以后的长远发展。

要提高学生听说能力，首先要解决教育理念的问题，教师要树立以人为本的教学观念，调动学生的主动性。教师在教学中要不断创新，勇于实践，相信在大家的共同努力下，外语教学中的“聋哑英语”现象一定会得到改善。
