however, this practice has also some undesirable effects. owing to the large population of china, most people's touring experiences during the first 7-day holiday, though well planned in advance, turnedsour. they couldn't get railway tickets; hotels were packed; scenic spots were all full of people. no wonder that a flood of complaints followed the week - long holiday.

as the saying goes, all work and no play makes jack a dull boy. longer holidays are certainly desirable, but the government should see that related facilities, such as transportation system and accommodation, are promptly adapted to the need of holiday activities.
