(1)日常口语练习。
(2)教师播放第一册Unit 4 B Let’s chant 的录音带。将cat, pig, monkey, mouse 的图片贴在黑板上。学生边指图边跟录音复习歌谣,还可以做出相应的动作。通过此歌谣可以复习Look at …的句型, 以及big, fat, funny 等单词。
2 呈现新课 (Presentation)
(1)教师为学生播放本单元第一课时的教学课件,复习单词big, long, short, small, tall 。
(2)了解so 的用法。
学生读完Unit 4 B Let’s chant 的歌谣后, 教师从黑板上取下pig 的图片,对学生说:Look at the pig. It’s SO big. 强调SO 的语调,并加以“大”的手势。接着,教师拿下mouse 的图片,对学生说:Look at the mouse. It’s small. It’s SO… 示意学生说出:It’s so small. 同样,教师做出“小”的手势。让学生体会 SO 在句子中的意思是:“强调某种程度” 。
(3)教师出示单词卡片或实物对比的方法,再次认读并复习表示大小、长短的单词big, long, short, small, tall。
(4)教师播放Let’s talk / A 部分的教学课件,让学生初步了解对话含义。
(5)根据学生对课件的记忆以及平日生活中的观察,让学生说说大象的眼睛、鼻子以及整体的样子。

(1)将课件中的声音关闭,为其中的人物配音。
(2)让学生拿出事先准备好的玩具。先将学生手中的各个玩具单词说一说,然后教师做示范:请一名学生上讲台前,教师指着学生手中的玩具说:A monkey. Look at the monkey. It has small ears. It has big eyes and long tail. (etc.) 之后,请几个能力较强的学生说说手中动物玩具的样子。
(3)让学生以小组为单位,继续练习简单形容自己、他人或小动物的情况。在此处,教师提示学生注意:形容自己时说: I have big eyes and small mouth. I have…
形容他人时说: He/She has long hair.
形容小动物时说: It has a long nose.

【教学过程】
(一)热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)
1.做游戏:报电话号码对抗赛,复习数字1-10。这个游戏的玩法是:将全班分成若干个小组,对抗赛在两个小组中进行,参赛的每个学生都要准备一张纸,上面写一个六位数的电话号码,在教师宣布游戏开始后,第一组的第一名学生立即出示他手中的号码,第二组的第一名学生应立即用英文将这个号码说出来,然后该学生出示手中的号码,第一组的第二名学生应立即将这个号码说出来,说错或不能迅速说出的记负分,最后哪组扣分最少为优胜。
2.教师播放第一册Unit 6A部分Let’s sing “Ten Little Candles Dance”的录音,让学生跟唱。教师在学生唱歌的过程中用蜡烛图片或实物做演示。
(二)呈现新课 (Presentation)
1.教师依次在黑板上贴出写有英文单词1-10的气球,边贴边让学生认读。
2.做“找朋友”的游戏:教师准备好1-10的卡通数字,找学生分别把数字贴到黑板上相应的气球下面。

1.报数:Let’s play部分可结合学生平时上体育课的要求,请两小组的学生上台,先要求学生排好队(Line up),然后要求他们大声报数1-15(Count from 1-15)。依次请各小组上台,比一比看哪一组排队快、静、齐,报数响亮、准确。也可在全班范围进行1-15的报数比赛,训练学生的快速反应能力。
2.猜年龄教师事先准备好一批人物的图片,如Mike,Kate等,在图片的反面写上数字,如5,8,11,15等。这个游戏可以每一纵行为一组进行竞赛。由教师或一位学生出示一张图片,由每组的第一名学生轮流猜,可以说“Is he(she) twelve(eleven)?”等。哪个组的学生猜对了就给该组记10分,然后接着往下猜。第一排的学生猜过后第二排接着猜。最后哪个组得分最多为优胜。
3.Bingo!需要Bingo游戏板(参考Bingo游戏板示例)
1)把数字1~15写在黑板上。指着每一个数字,引导学生说出数字。2)让学生画出一个Bingo游戏板。板上有4个空格。告诉学生他们可以选择任意4个数字写在空格内。数字的顺序不限,但是必须是不同的数字。3)把一组数字卡当作Bingo卡,放在一个帽子、书包或者盒子里。4)告诉学生认真听教师读出的数字,如果正好他们的Bingo板上有就在这个数字上画。5)从帽子、书包或者是盒子里抽出一个数字,并大声读。注意给学生足够的时间来听和找。6)第一个把全部4个数字划掉的学生说“Bingo!”并获得胜利。7)继续游戏,直到抽完所有15个数字,并且大部分学生的Bingo板都已完成。

看谁的记忆力最好教师可事先印制几张表格,表格上写有一些物品的名称和数量。教师发给每两个学生一张表格,游戏为两人一组。教师给30秒时间让其中的一个学生仔细看这张表格并努力记下来。30秒之后,由另一个学生问他:How many … can you see?这时那个学生要背着不许看表格来回答问题。看一看能够记对多少。然后,两人交换继续游戏。各小组之间可以互换表格,使游戏时间更长一些。自制表格如下:

把写有数字one~fifteen的卡片或纸条放入一个帽子或盒子里。全班分成5组,每组自己起一个名字。把小组名称写在黑板上记分。第一组的一位学生来抽出一个数字,通过做形体动作让本组的学生猜出这个数字。他/她可以用身体组成这个数字的形状,也可以在空中画出这个数字。但是不能说出可以举着手指让其他的同学看。喊“Go!”开始游戏。其他组的学生有节奏地拍手十次来计时。如果第一组在限定时间内猜出正确答案,得两分。如果没有,其他组的学生可以来猜,正确答案得一分。各小组轮流抽取数字。得分最多的小组获胜。

(三)趣味操练(Practice
游戏1:看谁找得快学生把字母卡依次摆放在桌面上,教师读字母,学生以最快速度找到该字母并举起来向教师出示。看谁找得快,最先举起字母卡的学生为胜利。游戏2:配对子小组活动。教师发给每组一套自制卡片。每套卡片共22张,每张卡片上写有一个大写或小写字母:A, B,C, D, E…, a , b, c, d, e…。游戏方法:把这22张卡片扣着放在地上,小组成员按顺序每人从其中取两张卡片,大家进行判断。如两张卡片上的大写和小写字母不相符(如:B和d) 则放回原处由其他人继续进行游戏。如果两张卡片上的大写和小写字母相符,该卡片被拿出,接着从其他卡片中再拿取,直到卡片都被拿完,游戏结束。最后,谁手里拿的对子最多,谁就获胜。
