在他28岁去京城把他的第一首诗《离离原上草》给了有名的文学家顾况，顾况一听“白居易”这个名字，就对他说：“现在，在京城不好呆下去了。”但是当他看到白居易写的这首诗时，大惊失色说：“你一定可以好好的在京城呆下去的。”
白居易每次写诗，反复修改，再拿给一些不识字的妇女听，如果她们不懂，白居易又拿回去修改，读给她们听，直到她们听明白为止。
白居易是唐代写诗最多诗人之一，我最喜欢他写的《卖炭翁》，他把人物描写的很仔细，把卖炭翁的悲惨和宦官的仗势欺人，都细致的汇成一篇文章，让人感觉仿佛身临其境一样。
“花非花，雾非雾。夜半来，天明去。来如春梦不多时，去似朝云无觅处。”我佩服白居易。，不但因为他的文采，他的勤奋也让我值得学习。

家乡的名人有很多，但是，令我最最钦佩的还是我们教英语的孟老师。
孟老师是教育局英教办公室的主任，也是我们补课的老师。孟老师说起英语来如关不住的水龙头，似乎怎么也说不完。“叮铃铃”，上课铃响了，我们陆陆续续回到了教室。孟老师来到了教室，先把我们的名字点了，然后进入了美妙的课堂!首先，孟老师先让我们不认识的单词用横线划出来，然后老师一一把不认识的单词用音标写出来让我们拼，“拦路虎”就这样被我们清除掉了。下来，就进入了学课文的阶段了，学完课文，就下课了。第二节课时，我们先把上一会学来的音标复习一遍，在学四个音标。音标学完后就开始对练习册。
这就是我们大名鼎鼎的名人——孟老师。

他每天起早贪黑，到田里治农药、除草、浇水……干的十分辛苦，但他没有放弃。经过几年的努力，他已经种了八十几亩田了。从一开始一贫如洗到现在不愁吃喝，正是天然之别。
张大伯不仅勤劳，而且十分聪明。张大伯一开始不懂得种田的经验，所以吃了亏，但他一点儿也不气馁，到处请教别人，自己也买了关于水稻或其它一些和种田有关的书。自己不识字，就让家里人读给他听，然后用心钻研，终于掌握了一些技术和经验。他经常说：“种田看起来简单，其实不简单”
有一次，大家买种子，基本上都买了同样的种子。只有王大伯和他们买的不同。有些人问他为什么买这种，种子。他说：“凭我的经验，今年的天气适合这种种子。”果然，最后他收获的要比别人多很多。慢慢地他开始富裕了，最后用起了机械。
从此，他就成了我们家乡的.名人。

我家乡的名人可多呢，有李源潮、周恩来、郑兆财、蒋志平、吴强……不过最有名的还是数周恩来了。他是一位总理呢，他那花白的头发，浓黑的眉毛，慈祥的眼睛，亲切的笑容，令我很有亲切感。
他这个总理可不是“走后门”得来的，而且靠着勤奋努力得来的。
周总理小时侯可勤奋呢，有一天，周总理随陈妈妈到一个路途遥远的亲戚家，回来时已是深夜了。一路上的风尘劳累，年幼的周总理已精疲力尽、呵欠连天，上下眼皮直打架，可他仍然要坚持练完100个大字再休息。陈妈妈心疼道：“明天再写吧。”周总理连忙说：“当天的事当天得做完!”便连忙把头埋在凉水里，一下子把“瞌睡虫”赶跑了，头脑也清醒多了。当100个字写完时，陈妈妈一把夺过笔：“这下行了吧，快睡觉。”周总理仔细看完墨汁未干的100个大字，皱着眉头认真地说：“陈妈妈，这两个字写歪了。”说着又把那两个字写了几遍，直到满意为止。
周总理这种精神值得我们每个人学习。
