我生活在城市，一个坐落在美丽的黄海之滨的城市，也是有着悠久历史和革命光荣传统的城市。

近几年，我作为一名小学生，伴随着这座城市长大，感受到国家给我们老百姓带来的生活上的巨大变化。我们盐城前几年是成片的低矮平房和老式的楼房，还有拥挤的交通，这些都成了落后盐城的标志。

为了建设我们的美好盐城，市政府作出了改造老城区，建设新城区的目标。以前破破烂烂的老式房子，卫生环境脏、乱、差的`现象，现如今都得到了改善，把拆掉的旧房子盖起了高楼，把垃圾堆变成了大花园和健身区，把臭水沟变成了清澈的小鱼池，旁边还建起了休息凉亭。出门还有BRT，真是方便极了。

我们的学校也得到了改善。政府为我们的学习出钱，建起了图书室、科技室、实验室，还买了大量的体育器材，这些都是为了让我们好好学习。我们长大了一定要回报祖国，做一个对社会有用的人。

为全面建成小康盐城、和谐盐城，我们都在努力，为美好的城市生活而奋斗。

在有这个公园之前，我们散步都在大街上，西门街挺繁华，都是服装店，人也总是最多，我喜欢那里温暖的人群，也学会和习惯了逛街，但次数一多就感觉没劲了，爱人更是受不了，开始拖着还会去，后来就怎么都不肯去了。西门街走到尽头有个广场，那也是原来市区唯一的一个广场，面积很小，全是水泥面，一个小小的喷水池早就成了一潭死水，跳舞的人们小心地挤在旁边，还有“钓鱼”和“骑马”等的.孩子们，热闹可也单调和拥挤得慌，看一眼就想走了。现在虽然家离这儿有点路程，没有特殊情况每个周末我们都会来这儿散步，有时还拉上得点空闲的女儿，而且开始几乎都是爱人拉着我来，后来他有时因沉湎在网络、电视里或者工作繁忙忘记我提起来，只要能抽出时间他都会马上答应。

我一直喜欢山水，亲近自然，在城市的钢筋水泥森林中（虽是小县城也有此感）常常怀念山野的树木花草、油菜花以及那青青的禾苗，但觉得爱人虽更是地道乡村人，却一直是向往城市，至少对这些怀念是并不在意的，所以早就隐隐地有些奇怪，他怎么会对这公园如此感兴趣，且乐此不疲？就在这一刻我忽然有些明白了，人类毕竟是自然之子，钢筋水泥森林完全是人类建造起的人工世界，它创造了奇迹，也让人们的生活更加便捷舒适，但却离人类的家园——大自然越来越远，而有山有水有绿色的公园正好可弥补这个缺撼，它让人们在城市里也能看到大自然，生活在钢筋水泥森林中的城市居民对此能不感到欣喜和激动吗？

也许正是看到了这点，市委市政府才在近几年加快城市建设步伐的过程中，把公园建设作为一项重中之重的工程来抓，先后在城北建成天湖公园，在城东建成眼前这个东湖公园，大连新区还将新建一个公园。

这里的登高山是市区一座天然的山林，不高也不大，但在市区内已经弥足珍贵，自然成了小城居民踏青、锻炼、休闲乃至青年恋爱的好去处，也是原来小城唯一的去处。脚下这个公园原是山脚下一片低洼地，雨季里总是一片汪洋，政府邀请专家进行规划设计，顺应此自然地势，蓄水成湖，旁边建绿地、甬道、休闲广场、小木屋、栏杆、路灯——这个公园几乎是突然就出现在了我们眼前，在建设的过程中，每次过段时间去散步，就能看到有新变化。每到周末节假日及每个夏日的夜晚，在这里散步休闲的行人都络绎不绝。

其实，鱼儿们的生活不是没有一点感情色彩，它们与人类并无两样，只是一类生活在陆地上，一类生活在水中，说对吗……
