But it will take up so much land that crowded cities become more crowded. Another solu tion is to open up more bus lines. If more bus lines should be opened up,the number of bicles and cars in the main streets would be greatly decreased. But the disadvantage of this solution is that many people wouldn’t feel so convenient os they used to.

Presently, there is a tendency that a growing number of people are moving from countryside into city annually. A century ago, less than five percent of all people lived in cities. By the middle of this century it could be seventy percent, or almost six and a half billion people.
Urbanization can lead to social and economic progress, but also put pressure on cities to provide housing and services. With the increasing number of inpiduals pouring into cities, the worsening inequalities, driven by social pisions and differences in wealth, could result in violence and crime unless cities plan better. Another issue is urban expansion. This is where cities expand quickly into rural areas, sometimes at a much faster rate than urban population growth.
From my perspective, the government is expected to implement laws and regulations to limit the exceedingly growing of the urban population. As college students, we can seek employment back to our hometown and I am sure a promising future is awaiting us there.

As a result, some people even fear that the world will become a dull place when all the different nationalities behave exactly alike.Nevertheless, the “cultural sediment” formed through long-range accumulation is not to be easily removed, and the cultural tradition handed down from generation to generation shows great consistency and continuity. The cultures of different regions and nations still have their own distinctive peculiarities, and therefore significance still needs to be attached to the study of the individualities of different cultures against the background of their universality.
By and large, linearity and circularity can be used to indicate the major difference between Western and Chinese cultures. “Western culture” here is a general term, putting aside its interior regional diversities in order to contrast it with Chinese culture. A circle is a round enclosure. A line is a narrow continuous mark. The contrast between the linearity of Western culture and the circularity of Chinese culture embodies itself in such aspects as worldview, core value, outlook on time, and mode of thinking.

书面表达是初中英语检测的重要题型。它综合考察了学生运用所学知识正确表达自己、传递信息和灵活交流、解决实际问题的能力，是种重要的语言测试手段。同时它与听、说、读相辅相成，相互促进，对于英语提高具有重要的意义。然而它要求学生具有较高的书面语言表达能力，而目前初中英语教学的书面表达相对滞后，学生的写作水平提高甚微，形成了“听到写作学生心烦，见到习作教师不愿”的现象，究其原因是多方面的。学生方面：(1)审题不清，行文思路混乱。（2）信息不全、条理紊乱。(3)汉语影响、词句错误或不规范；(4)词汇贫乏、搭配不当、句型误用；（5）书写不整。教师方面则是在教学中缺乏科学、系统的写作教学方法指导，或是指导分散、重视不够，从而影响了学生写作能力的有效提高。因此，笔者结合冀教版教材和教学实践对写作教学做了下列探索。
一，认真审题是做好书面表达的首要前提，也是写好作文的保障。细读题目要求及内容提示，可以从中获取许多重要信息，诸如文章内容，体裁，常用时态，该种文章常见结构、模式（有赖于平时老师对范文的剖析，讲解和学生对常见作文种类的研习）。是记叙，议论，还是说明……是据时间变化还随空间转移；是先立后驳还是先驳后立；是推理演绎还是总结归纳……总之，认真审题才能使文章词句有的放矢，不偏题、跑题；文章各层次、部分相互呼应，行文思路清晰明了，结构，提纲，次序一目了然，共同为表达文章的中心而服务。
二，目前的初中英语书面表达整体水平较低，处于初级阶段，题型也较单一。常见题型为根据文字要求、词汇提示、或给定的图片，用适当的形式对相对固定的内容作比较全面、准确的叙述。而学生在这方面易犯的错误就是漏掉题目已做要求或图片呈现、给定的信息，忽略了此类作文评定的一项重要依据便是“对所要求内容是否涵盖全面”；叙述无条理，想到哪儿写到哪儿。针对这些问题，由于题目的特殊性，笔者让学生在提示下作了逐条逐条的“汉译英”，之后通读并加以润色，练习用上常见的连词、次序副词……使各句间衔接紧密，整体排列有序，增强了可读性。就这样，一篇篇粗糙但完整可读的“作品”产生了，从而缓解了学生的“恐作症”，重树了信心，在日后的习作练习中日渐提高。
三，“好高骛远，眼高手低，喜欢想当然”是学生在习作中常见的问题。学生超强的创造力，想象力总在催生诸多如“good goog study,day day up .”的句子层出不穷，究其原因主要为基础语法知识和良好语感的缺失，同时又受汉语思维影响太深。必要的语法基础知识可以帮助学生理解较复杂的句子，校正习作句子的规范性和完整性；而良好的语感可使学生做到熟悉内容的“脱口而出、提笔即就”。这就要求教师在平时教学中多做有意无意的语法知识穿插，句子结构分析，多组织词和短语的造句练习；而熟练诵读、背诵经典句子、段落甚至语篇进行知识储备，加强口语训练（可考虑复述课文）则是培养良好语感的不二之路。只要有序、高效、科学地坚持此类做法、活动，那么“洋洋洒洒一篇小作文”是完全可期待的。
四，在英语学习的初级阶段，词汇贫乏是学生在学习中常见的问题。他们总想像写汉语作文那样天马行空地抒发一番，而提笔时总傻了眼：许多单词没学过，没有顿时蹦出大脑的句式句型……诚然，词汇的积累并非一朝一夕的事，然而在老师的科学引导下循序渐进地进行多种行之有效训练活动总是事半功倍的 。比如：指导写作较熟悉的话题，接近生活的话题，最好是刚学过的单元话题，让学生有言可发，少遇不必要的障碍；诱导学生多使用自己学过的词 、句型灵活表达想要表达的信息，既是对旧知识的复习，也是对知识运用能力的提升；组织师生共同评讲代表习作 ，纠正常见的、有代表性的错误；做重要词替换、近义词辨析、同义句转换等练习，提升知识熟练程度，增强实战能力 ，同时总结自己的学习方法，树立继续学好学习的信心；多做一些趣味阅读，增加学习兴趣，同时在阅读中识记一些新词，更好掌握已知词用法，逐步把不太熟的边缘词汇转变为熟知的核心词汇，滚雪球式的增长词汇……
