今天是端午节，大家伙都在家里忙着过端午节。我们姊妹几个也聚在母亲家过节吃饭。想起小时候过端午节的情形，大家七嘴八舌说起来。小妹嘴快，先说起来了，还是小时候过端午节热闹，一个礼拜前就有过节的气氛了。那时候农村交通不太发达，好多小商小贩就来村里卖红枣和糯米，天天上学回来第一件事就是看家里买了红枣和糯米没有。买了多少，好第二天上学去给别的同学炫耀，粽叶皮是不用买的，我们那有个芦韦塘，勤快的人还可以打上卖给贩子，过端午节的钱就有了。
那时我们那很少包粽子的，都是蒸年糕的。端午节前一天下午，家家户户就开始煮粽叶皮，泡糯米，洗红枣。到了天快黑，大人就开始包年糕了。我们就在旁边凑热闹，吃红枣。蒸年糕也是个技术活，包好了年糕在水里煮一晚上，也不会散开，端午节早上打开年糕津津的，包不好的，煮到半晚就会散开，端午节就没的吃的了。不过我们从来都不担心，母亲包的年糕是村里有名的，又好吃又瓷实。
年糕包好了，要开始煮年糕了，说包年糕是技术活，煮年糕可是件累人的活，从晚上差不多十点开始，要煮到半个夜四五点，那时都是加柴火煮的。家家户户为了煮年糕，都早早挖好了大树根，晒干劈好，放一次柴火差不多可以烧一个小时。到了端午节的早晨，等我们起来，母亲已经炸好了油饼，从田埂上?回了艾叶。院子也扫的干干净净。

又逢端午节，家家户户都包粽子吃。我家也不例外。端午节的前一天，爷爷奶奶就包好了粽子。那一个个粽子可谓大小不一，形状各异：三角体，长方体。听奶奶说，这些粽子的馅有许多种：白糖馅、黑芝麻馅、蜜枣馅、菜馅。听了奶奶的一番介绍，我的口水都快流出来了，忙让奶奶煮粽子。
等呀等呀，大概过了几个小时，粽子终于煮好了，开锅。
粽子刚盛上来，我就拿起了一个粽子，剪开了线，又解开了粽叶，把粽叶里的糯米团放到碗里。拿来了一双筷吃了起来。我手里的那双筷子不停地在碗与嘴中间挥舞。不一会儿，一块粽子便进入了我的肚皮，真好吃。这粽子里有糯米的饭香;粽叶的清香；花生的香甜以及蜜枣的蜜甜。这些味道交织混合在一起，让人回味无穷。
吃着吃着，我实在忍不住了，一下子在碗里放了五个粽子。大口大口的吃了起来，一边吃还一边咕哝道：“好吃，真好吃。”不一会儿，五个粽子便进入了我的肚子。我的脸上也粘了不少饭。可我却乐不亦乎。
没想到这小小的粽子竟那么好吃！我也知道：“这每个粽子都代表着长辈们对子女的爱呀！”将来长大了，我也要为长辈们包粽子。

赛龙舟、挂香囊。晚上看电视我还知道端午也有赛龙舟、挂香囊的习俗，坐在一边的妈妈告诉我：“相传当年屈原跳江之后，人们舍不得屈原，纷纷驾船竟相赶去救屈原，一会儿工夫就看不见了，后来，人们就用这种方式来纪念屈原。另外，人们还用五色的线缠绕香囊，有驱邪、保平安的美好愿望。”
啊！端午节的习俗可真丰富呀，听说，端午节的风俗已经由湖北省为代表申请世界文化遗产，我真为我的祖国感到骄傲。

今天在张老师的带领下，我们来到乐购包粽子。今天是以比赛的形式包粽子，而且包完的粽子也不是回家自己吃，而是送到广阳区民政局的敬老院，所以我们包得非常积极主动。
到了乐购，老师说可以让我们组组，我和妈妈以及邢露组成了一组。比赛开始了，我们三个人分工合作，我负责放米，邢露负责放枣，妈妈负责包，我们合作的非常愉快，所以我们在两分钟的时间里包了很多的粽子，得了第一名。
包完粽子以后，我们坐着班车来到了敬老院，敬老院的环境非常好，卫生也不错，看得出老人们在这里享受着幸福的晚年。乐购还给老人们带来了许多美味的水果。当我们把我们的“战利品”送给爷爷奶奶之后，我们心里有一种说不出来的喜悦。在离开敬老院之前，老人们叮嘱我们一定要好好学习，天天向上，将来做一个对社会有贡献的人。

另外，戴上妈妈缝好的荷包，红红绿绿香香的，别提心里有多高兴了。

这样一个爱国，杰出，深受人民喜爱的大词人，人们怎能忘记他呢？因此设立了端午节。
