The Perfect Dog
During summer vacations, I would volunteer at the vet’s, so I’d seen a lot of dogs. Minnie was by far the funniest-looking dog I’d ever seen. Thin curly hair barely covered her sausage-shaped body. Her bugged-out eyes always seemed surprised. And her tail looked like a rat’s tail.She was brought to the vet to be put to sleep because her owners didn’t want her anymore. I thought Minnie had a sweet personality, though. “No one should judge her by her looks,” I thought. So the vet spayed her and gave her the necessary shots. Finally, I advertised Minnie in the local paper: “Funny-looking dog, well behaved, needs loving family.”
When a young man called, I warned him that Minnie was strange looking. The boy on the phone told me that his grandfather’s sixteen-year-old dog had just died. They wanted Minnie no matter what. I gave Minnie a good bath and fluffed up what was left of her scraggly hair. Then we waited for them to arrive.
At last, an old car drove up in front of the vet’s. Two kids raced to the door. They scooped Minnie into their arms and rushed her out to their grandfather, who was waiting in the car. I hurried behind them to see his reaction to Minnie.
Inside the car, the grandfather cradled Minnie in his arms and stroked her soft hair. She licked his face. Her rattail wagged around so quickly that it looked like it might fly off her body. It was love at first lick.
“She’s perfect!” the old man exclaimed.
I was thankful that Minnie had found the good home that she deserved.
That’s when I saw that the grandfather’s eyes were a milky white color - he was blind.

这一节课的成功之处在于使用多媒体教学突破了时空的限制。而多媒体的使用为教学提供了丰富的语言情境和大量的语言兴趣。而有趣的画面和音响效果也大大的吸引了学生的注意力和激发了他们学习英语的兴趣。在讲Conversation 时,先利用电脑课件呈现对话内容,让学生形成一种整体印象,再分步在情境中操练,最后再整段学习课文,巩固和检查学生的学习情况,提醒了整体教学方法在英语教学中的使用。而另一个比较成功的地方在于这节课使用了多种有趣的`课堂活动和游戏。学生活泼好动,喜欢游戏,喜欢挑战。在这节课中,通过有趣而简单易行的游戏让学生在玩中轻松的学习,培养了他们的想象力和创新意识。
然而,本节课也有一些不足的地方。有些时候,动作示范不到位,让有些孩子不知该做什么,而出现了停顿。面对三年级的学生,我放手让学生自己操练的环节仍不够多,总觉得怕课堂纪律混乱和时间不够完成教学任务,还需要在今后的课堂中不断改正。

针对本堂课,从教学设计到上课的实际情况,本人进行了如下的反思。
一、反思教学行为是否达到教学目标
本堂课我将教学任务转化为学生的学习需要,让学生主动参与,发挥其主观能动性。教学目标是根据教学需要,从学生实际出发,从学生的角度阐述要求。学生主动参与课堂学习,基本上达到了教学的要求,学会了用英语进行交际活动。
在学生原有的知识经验基础上,以学生为本,因人施教,适时调整教学目标。比如,学生原来已经学了有关动物类的单词,在课堂上我有意识地将这类单词进行延续、扩展。学生普遍“吃得饱”。
二、对教学内容的反思
(1)根据教学目标开发、利用学习资源,使教学内容符合学生的经验、情趣和认知规律。本课中我选择了贴近学生生活的活动任务。学生从熟悉的'句型“What’s this ? It’s a… .”着手,很自然地过渡到“Is this a…? Yes,it is./No, it isn’t.”的学习。语言教学内容的安排由简到繁,学生学习由浅入深,循序渐进。
(2)反思教学内容的科学性、思想性和趣味性是否符合学生年龄特点。例如:在操练单词句型时,我选择以学生喜闻乐见的guessing game,我故意着急地询问“Is this a…?”让学生猜,通过猜动物游戏,学生兴趣浓厚,求知欲很强。小组使用自己的图片,不断地操练“Is this a…? Yes,it is./No, it isn’t.”很好地调动了学生的学习积极性。学生都踊跃就图片内容相互提问和回答,以一问一答的方式迅速理解并掌握重点句型。
(3)反思是否运用多样化教学手段,调动学生的学习积极性。根据小学生的年龄特点和心理特征,我创设生动有趣的语言情景。例如:教授动物单词时:我采用生动的课件创设情景,还根据教学需要适时开展游戏、抢读等活动,对于积极发言的学生给予语言上(包括物质上)的鼓励。学生在轻松愉悦的环境中熟悉和巩固语言知识,并在竞赛中得到动物奖励,增强了学习的自信心。
当然,这节课也存在很多不足之处,需要进一步的实践和探讨。例如,在教学中我发现个别学生自控力欠缺,学习主动性不够。他们是在被动倾听而不是在主动表现。随着课堂教学的深入,他们与大部分学生的差距将越拉越大。所以如何激发他们的学习积极性,让他们全身心地参与到整个教学活动中来,应该是我在今后教学中要注重的。

英语是一种拼音文字,拼音文字最大的特征就是“表音”,一个英语单词究竟该怎么写,几乎完全取决于单词的发音。书写一个单词时,主要靠按照发音来书写出单词的字母;要记住一个英语单词,也主要靠记住单词的发音。因此,英语字母的发音教学是学习英语的奠基基础。小学三年级的学生,大多数在一、二年级已经学习过字母的认读,但没有经过系统的学习,因此,很有必要对字母的发音与单词的发音结合起来教学。
本节课我执教的是开心学英语《Friends with English》版教材三年级上册Unit 7 Is this a dog? 的第三课,Alphabet教学,重点掌握的是字母Pp Qq Rr的发音以及由此字母为首字母的单词的音、形、义。
本节课我主要安排了四大环节,包括有Step 1 Warm up、Step 2 Presentation、Step 3 Sum up、Step 4 Homework。第一部分Warm up环节中,我安排了简单的问候和歌曲进行课堂导入,尤其采用了学生们耳熟能详的英文歌曲《ABCsong》,优美的歌声能营造快乐轻松的'英语氛围,使孩子们的注意力保持在英语学习的状态中,同时也复习了26个字母,为后面的字母发音教学作为很好的铺垫。第二部分Presentation环节,主要包括了Alphabet1和Alphabet2的学习,用学生最感兴趣的事物动物作为切入口,出示图片,让学生说出panda、rabbit等单词,运用多种形式教授字母和单词的发音。其后,通过听录音、做练习、chant等巩固字母、单词的发音。让学生由浅入深进行训练,逐步深化,以达到学以致用的目的,本节课收到了良好的效果。Exercises 、Chant的设计,同学们非常喜爱,能够使学生学习的轻松,愉快,而又使教学效果显著,课堂气氛活跃。最后让学生再次朗读本节课学习的内容,作进一步的巩固所学内容。
由于本人的教学水平有限,在组织实施过程中还存在诸多有待完善之处:首先,教学环节的安排和内容的处理上还有待斟酌。其次,上课时没有很好地关注到那几个基础薄弱的学生,在口语语速上偏快。这是我在今后教学中需好好改进的。另外,在组织教学过程中,小组活动的组织与调控不够熟练,意外事件的发生很可能打乱课堂教学。在今后的教学中要从如何分组,组内如何分配任务等方面引导学生进行小组合作学习。

在这节课中,充分体现了学生就是学习的主人。他们积极地展示自我,表现自我。他们在自主、合作的氛围中体验到成就感,感受到学习的快乐。
但在课堂操作过程中,也出现了一些小插曲。在进行最后一个环节“我做你猜”时,我把提问的自主权交给了上来表演的学生。由于每个孩子都想自己组获得更多的星星,所以他们总请自己组的小伙伴来猜,没轮到的学生就觉得吃亏,不公平,因而大声嚷嚷。那时应变能力不足,导致没有及时疏导学生,把学生的情绪引导到正面上来。这又是一次学习的机会。在以后遇到同样情况,应该怎么处理呢?这值得深思。

A DogA dog is a kind of animal,It often lives with people at home,lt's one of the pet animals.Many people like to keep a dog for pleasure because it's clever and it can understand them.People feed the dog and build a house for it.Dogs can do lots of things for people.In cities,people keep a dog not only for pleasure but also for safety.A dog can be a good guard.In the country,farmers like to keep dogs for pleasure too.Besides,some of the dogs can help farmers to look after animals,such as sheep and pigs.Dogs can be a great help to army soldiers and policemen.They of-ten do important work for them.So dogs are really our good friends,and we must take good care of them.
