Christmas was coming, and today I made three snowflakes out of paper-cutting and put them on the Christmas tree on the second floor of the library, where I made my own car.
Thinking of gingerbread house, I quickly ran to the first floor, reporting to the teacher: “xiao zhuo xi arrived!” Mr. Hu gave me a number. On the third floor, I looked at the number on the number and found our table. Before long, another friend came. After a long time, finally! I asked him to hold the cookies and I got sticky. It wasn't long before the house was built. We daubed the house with cream. I don't know when I saw uncle chef throwing snowflakes at other kids. I said we were going to “snow,” and uncle had given us a snowflake. I blocked the whole door with red cream. I laughed with my friends, and our gingerbread house was ready!
Although our gingerbread house didn't win, we all had a great time!
Merry Christmas
It was one of the last days before Christmas, and the as sistants in the large store had their hands full serving eager Christmas shoppers。
At one counter an old lady was choosing gloves red ones for her daugher in law, light blue ones for her niece, pink ones for her grand daughter, green ones for her sister and by the time she had found what she wanted, the counter was covered with pairs of all colors and sizes。
When the salesgirl had finally written out the bill and was about to turn to the next customer with a tired voice. “Thank you very much, madam,” the old lady suddenly cried out, “Oh, I almost forgot...”——“Anything else, madam?” said the girl, “Yes,” began the old lady, “Id like to buy another pair, but I m not quite sure about what exactly I should cloose. I wonder if you could help me.” “Certainly, madam”, was the girls reply. The old lady then went on to explain that what she was looking for was a pair of gloves for a girl of her age. She was not at ail sure what color to choose, and the design was a problem too。
The tired girl did her best to help the old lady make up her mind, showing her ail kinds of gloves。
At last the chosen pair of gloves were wrapped up and paid for as well, and as the girl was about to turn to the next customer, the old lady handed her a little parcel and said, “These now, dear, these are for you and thank you for being so patient. I do hope you have a merry Christmas !”
As the development of global communication, western customs are imported into China. Western festivals, especially Christmas, are now welcomed by/gain popularities quickly among Chinese, especially the new generation. Should we Chinese celebrate these festivals?
I would like to say we Chinese should not be too eager and excited to observe Christmas, because we should value our own culture and tradition first. Although celebrating western festivals shows China's opening up to the world, over appreciating other cultures will have a bad effect on keeping our own.
So my suggestion is that we regard Christmas as an opportunity to shop and to enjoy ourselves, but at the same time realize that our traditional festivals are more precious.
Ah! Christmas morning! Children like to wake up early while it's still dark and sneak into the living room to check the presents----find any with their name on it, shake them to guess what's inside, and then maybe they'll go back to bed and pretend they are still asleep when their parents come to wake them with a “Merry Christmas!”
But almost no one I know gets completely dressed or eats a regular breakfast first thing Christmas morning. They just put on a robe or wear their pajamas and go to see what's under the Christmas tree. Some Christian families have a tradition of reading the Bible story of Jesus' birth. Maybe it's to remind the children that Christmas is Jesus' birthday.
Someone will begin to take the presents out from under the tree, see whose name is on the package, and then pass them around. Some families wait until all the presents have been given out before opening any of them, while others open each one as it comes to them. There are many “thank you” to the ones who gave the gifts, new clothes are tried on to see if they fit, and of course the most interesting toys will immediately be played with.
Usually among the Christmas gifts will be some especially delicious candy or cake or cookies which everyone tastes. These sweet things may be the only breakfast many people eat Christmas morning. After the gifts have been opened, the room will be tidied up except where the children are playing with their toys. Everyone will wash and get dressed for the day.
Some people may go to a Christmas morning church service around ten o'clock if their church didn't have one on Christmas Eve. But most people will just watch TV. Well, most men will. The children may play outside or inside with their new toys, but the mothers will be in the kitchen preparing Christmas Dinner.

Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December. It is a very happy day for many boys and girls . Before the term ends in some schools , the children act a nativity or birth play, showing how Jesus was born in a stable.
On the twenty-fourth of December, all children are very excited. Usually they are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready. The younger children think that Father Christmas will come down the chimney or fireplace , so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in. The greedy ones even hang up a pillow-case or a sack to try to get more presents. Later that night, Father or Mother will put presents in the sock, and leave others at the side of the bed.
On Christmas morning, the children wake up very early. Some even turn on the light at two o clock, and most of them are awake by six o clock although it is not light in England for another hour or two at this time of the year.
Children look for their presents , and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared. At about one o clock in the afternoon, the Christmas dinner is brought in . The turkey or chicken is quickly eaten . Children search in their Christmas pudding for new coins which are hidden in it . The rest of the day is full of games and eating until the happiest of all Christmas hollidays comes to an end.
