纵观历年来的考题，我们不难发现议论文占据着七成以上的比例，因此首先我们要掌握议论文的写作要领。按照提纲进行构思，务必做到写好每段的主题句和扩展句。主题句是表达段落主题的句子，它阐明一个段落的中心思想，是段落的核心，段落中的其他各句都与它紧密相连并围绕它展开。扩展句就是解释或者说明段落中心思想的句子。写扩展句时要注意条理性，比如引出三条不同的理由可以分别用：first of all, furthermore, the last but not the least。
明确段落的写作思路之后，让我们具体来看句子的写作。考试实践表明，多数考生在写作上的主要欠缺不是系统的写作理论和方法，而是最基本的单句写作能力。有些同学因为对自身的实力缺乏自信所以考场上采取抄袭阅读文章里的句子这种方法来凑字数。这种做法实不足取，因为一方面容易被改卷老师发现而认为该考生有偷懒的嫌疑，另一方面考生从阅读文章里抄来的优美句子和考生自己写的错误百出的句子拼凑在一起令文章整体有不和谐之感，从而令改卷老师怀疑该考生有作弊的嫌疑。通过句子写作这一关，可参考如下步骤：
1. 确保句子的正确性，即准确表达思想而且没有语法错误。以“there be”句型为例，错误的句子：there are many people like to go to the movies. 正确表达：there are many people who like to go to the movies.考生最容易犯的错误是在there be之后又用了一个动词作谓语，使句子结构出现严重错误。除了要小心避免语法错误外，我们也不能忽视作文中经常出现的严重汉化的英语，即中式英语，比如：“man is iron, and food is steel.”, “women are half side sky.”。如何克服汉化思维关键在于动笔前先思考一下类似的英文句式，并且注意谚语的翻译不能随心所欲，尽量找到规范的翻译方式。
2. 注意句式的多样性，语言生动且富于变换才能最终打动评卷老师从而获得高分。不能从头到尾都是i am…, he is…, i like…, 这样的简单句。
1)适当运用同位语，environmental pollution, a phenomenon which lasted a number of years, has grown more and more serious.推荐用于开头对核心名词做出解释。
2)倒装，only in this way can we solve the problem.建议最好使用在文章结尾处更显得掷地有声。
3)无灵主语，即没有生命的东西充当主语。当我们要讲述一个经验性的事实或者常理时，不要过多使用“i think that”议论文中过多使用“i” 容易影响文章的客观性。使用无灵主语就可以解决这个问题past experience has taught us that we should not depend on others for everything.(past experience就是无灵主语)
4)排比，可以增强语言表达的力度和整个文章的气势。例如在95年1月的考题“can money buy happiness”中运用排比就可以收到比较理想的效果。many people die for money, lie for money, fight for money, and even sell their souls to the devil for money.

背什么东西呢?很多同学会想到，就是背模版。模版这个东西是可以背的。
我们一般地来讲会把6级的作文分成5种类型，那也就是至少有5篇文章可以作为模版去背诵。
背模版又可分成5个档次：
1、最不好的其实就是没有背模版，自己还没有好东西，那叫“手中无剑，心中也无剑”，就是属于“裸考”，属于“等死”的档次。
2、比较好的，比这个好一点的是背模版，没有背好，没有用对地方，仅仅是第2档次，也就是“手中有剑，心中无剑”。

Depression has brought great bad influence on ones study, work and life. In fact, depression affects not only ones mind but also his body. Those with severe depression even are unable to continue their work or carry out normal activities.
