所以，较早前投放的小黄车到底去哪了?私以为，有以下几种可能去向(纯属个人猜测)：

2.“五马分尸”：盗窃后将其拆卸成各种部件，或以废品作价卖给回收站，最终“回炉”，进入物质的轮回。
3.二次贩卖：被异地转移到三四五线城市以及农村等地区简易改装后进行二手单车交易，进入再流通领域。

先说说“新”：1月16日，ofo对外正式发布其自主研发的第一代智能锁(其称为业内独创的突破型“机械+智能锁“解决方案)：每次用户开锁时将设定随机密码，智能锁中内置定位器可追踪，最长可待机两年无需充电，能适应高低温环境(-30至65°C)最主要的特点还是其高适配性——可安装到几乎所有单车上。费用方面押金99元，每小时收费1元。新版单车首批投放地点在北京。
虽然ofo研制智能锁早已不是什么秘密，但此次推出的智能锁还是颇为出人意料，至少我是这样认为。你可以想象ofo的新锁就像一套“军装”，给城市中的闲置单车套上这身皮衣将其招致靡下后进行武装，夸张点讲，ofo的作战部队数量将成指数级增长。这使得ofo向其城市共享计划迈进了一大步。
再说说“旧”：这几天在深圳南山区出现的、貌似是ofo和700bike合作的新版车型，和较早前网上流传的高端版“谍照”基本一致，但仍然是采用转轮式机械锁而非传言所说的智能锁。目前这批单车数量不多，深圳是首座投放的城市，地点有罗湖、福田、南山和宝安。
三、数量是否供过于求?
较之共享单车刚开始出现的时候路上一排排新投放的单车半天不到就消失得无影无踪，到现在要过两天甚至三天才会被全部骑走;而前几天引人关注的深圳数百辆共享单车被恶意堆积在小区的新闻，也从侧面佐证了当前一线城市的现状——主城区的共享单车数量偏多，已接近饱和状态。一线城市的情况大约是下图的C点所示位置(各个阶段的具体分析可参看本人在共享自行车：ofo、摩拜、优拜、小鸣……谁将是下一个滴滴?下的回答的后半部分)。
图中：Q为某城市的非私人单车数量，T为时间， S为供给曲线。
C点：单车数量增加缓慢，但仍继续增长的趋势。预计再过一段时间，城市中的非私有单车数量会达到Q4，并且会维持较长一段时间内的稳定状态，即均衡状态。此时，厂商不会再继续投放车辆，用户总需求也不会有较大波动。
产品本身和目标用户决定了共享单车走不了“农村包围城市”的道路：农村既没有消费能力(价格敏感度高于城市)也没有使用需求(交通半径小)。所以共享单车只能使劲投放车辆到大城市中，从一线城市拓展到二三线城市。目前来看，一方面是城市中随处可见的、摆放混乱的共享单车已经能很好满足用户的骑行需求;另一方面市场培育已相当成熟，消费者认可度较高。因此，此阶段的大量投放所起到的边际效用开始呈下降趋势。
四、新手是否还有机会?
我认为机会已很小，想要分一杯羹必须满足以下两个必要条件：
质：要么产品十分惊艳，比如超越摩拜经典版;要么体验感超好，比如小蓝单车的舒适四件套。
量：要具备较强供应链，能在目标城市快速大范围铺开，形成一定的规模数量。比如传统自行车制造商上海永久扶持的优拜单车，上市运动自行车企业凯路仕入局的小鸣单车。
共享单车的窗口期已在缩窄，只有同时达到“质”和“量”两个条件，后来者才有可能占据一定的市场份额，才有资格叫板两位霸主。
