英语的修饰语，如介词短语、动词不定式、分词、定语从句等皆放在被修饰语的后面;而汉语的修饰语无论长短、繁简，皆置于被修饰语的前面。

三、段落 篇章
总体而言，英文 篇章，一般都采用直线型的形式，尤其是说明文和议论文，更是一般——具体式的。
英语 篇章是a writer-responsible pattern, 即作者在 篇章中有责任、有义务向读者交代其主旨或目的。
为使读者省时高效，英语 篇章开门见山，一开头就直接点明段落的主题句 (topic sentence) 或全文的中心思想 (thesis statement), 即亮明作者的观点、态度、看法等;或者以引言开门，即“首先用一个熟悉的事实、观点、故事、引言等开头，然后直接见到作者全文的观点思想”。
由以上分析可知，西方人的直线式思维和中国人的螺旋式思维存在明显的差异，体现在语言中，几乎渗透到语言的各个单位，包括词汇、句子、段落和全篇。当然，笔者无意说思维模式孰好孰坏，正如我们不能断言文化模式孰好孰坏一样。但作为学英语的中国人，学原汁原味的语言是我们要达到的最高境界。自然，这里的语言也应包括discourse或text。
因此考生们要知道，一种思维是一种文化长期的积淀，它已进入该民族的潜意识，根深蒂固，如果只学语言本身，不会知其所以然，一旦到了使用语言时，汉语思维自然突现，写出Chinglish, 浑然不知。
此外，建议考生多背诵和模仿英语经典文章，如《新概念英语》第三册上的文章，笔者认为皆为语言的精华，不但文词优美，每课都是一篇范文，原汁原味，多读这样的文章，一定会有所启发。
由此看来，老生常谈而又令人费解的“学会用英语思维”，倒不如换个说法——学会英汉思维转换，即懂得英汉思维的差异，在平时读书的时候去真实地领悟，久而久之，就能写出地道的英文来，至少不会写出那么多的Chinglish。

到了早晨，我刚从梦中醒来，妈妈就跑过来，对我说：宝贝，快快起来!看看你的床头。我一看，啊!是圣诞老爷爷的一只靴子，靴子里面有一张贺卡，上面写着：高思怡同学，祝你好好学习，天天向上!也祝你圣诞快乐!我又从靴子里掏出一块粉红色的米奇手表，一些学习用品和我喜欢吃的零食我高兴极了，一蹦三尺高!
难道世上真的有圣诞老爷爷?圣诞老爷爷到底是漫画人物，还是爸爸妈妈扮演的?我真希望有一天能在白茫茫的大雪中听到他沉重的脚步声，在厚厚的积雪中看见他留下的深深的脚印!

篇22：圣诞节作文
眼看着，圣诞节就要来临了，这是我最喜爱的节日。每缝刚刚十二月初，我就要兴致勃勃的想象着过圣诞节时的快乐情景，今年的我同样也不例外。
就从学校开始想起吧！我穿着漂亮的衣服，背上背着粉红色的小书包，小跑在上学的小道上。隔着学校十米多，就能听到同学们快活的叫喊声，追逐声。来到校门口，还能看到老师、学生共同装扮校园，以及校园里热闹的气氛。
走进学校，映入眼帘的就是同学们一张张可爱的笑脸，和“圣诞老人”慈和的脸旁。学校的围栏，已不在是原来那生了锈的钢铁，而是挂满了红、黄两种拉花的引人注目的围栏。学校的操场也不是原来那略显肮脏的草坪，而是真的种上了小草和各种各样的花草树木。所有的教学楼上还要贴着大大的圣诞老人的头像，有时间的话还可以在圣诞老人的头像上写一句圣诞节的祝福语，这样就很好了！
走进教室，桌子啊、椅子啊，最好都重新摆放，而且还是同学们自己安排、张罗所有的事。我还希望这一天是让同学们自由自在的度过的。大家可以看一些有关圣诞的知识和动画，甚至还可以举行一次大型的演唱赛，歌曲为：铃儿响叮当。临放学时，最好还有几位老师来扮演圣诞老人，手里拿着一大袋礼品送给同学们。同学们也能和“圣诞老人”玩上半小时。玩完之后，就陆陆续续的放学了。
接下来，就该想象一下回到家中的情景了。还没到家，圣诞节的气氛就映入眼连。一阵悦耳的音乐把我引入了六楼一门。透过窗户，家里那洋溢着的温暖的灯光照得我也暖洋洋的。在屋内，一棵深绿色的圣诞树傲然屹立，格外显出了圣诞节浓厚的气氛，我不禁加快了脚步。我走进家门，最好有些神秘感。首先，在桌上，写了一张给我的纸条，内容为：xx同学，我送给你了一件礼物，请你去找找吧！于是我便找起来。找到之后，家里人便突然跳到我身边，于是，我们就一起唱歌跳舞过圣诞。
这就是我梦想中的圣诞节，但愿我的梦想能够实现！

今天是圣诞节，我一起床就掀开枕头，里面有两包巧克力，我很高兴。
妈妈走到了我的房间，我问妈妈：“你给我礼物了？”妈妈说：“没有。”我相信了妈妈。穿好衣服我就去问爸爸：“你送给我们礼物了？”爸爸说没有。我不信，就一直问。爸爸发急了，说：“我没有。”我不敢问了，就喝饭。
中午回到家，我又问爸爸：“你送我礼物了么？”爸爸说：“我没送，你妈妈送了。”我相信了。
晚上，我又问妈妈：“你送我礼物了么？”妈妈笑着说：“我买的，你爸送的。”后来，我才明白，我的礼物不是圣诞老人送的。
这个圣诞节过得真快乐啊！
