之所以深刻，首先是因为这书中的人物似乎都有着缺点，而非那完美的人物，哪怕是书中的主人公。文中的所谓“傲慢”就是指出身富贵、教养颇高、眼光锐利的青年达西的个性弱点;而所谓“偏见”是指出身中产阶级、教养颇好、机智聪明的小姐——伊丽莎白的精神弱点。一个眼光锐利，一个机智聪明，都属人中杰，但却都难免人性的弱点的纠缠。这却给了我极大的兴趣。因为凡是人，终究是有弱点的。我不喜欢完美的主人公，那会让我觉得他是神而不是人。
其次，书中的时代背景造就了许多不同的爱情观。“彬格莱先生仪表堂堂，大有绅士风度，而且和颜悦色，没有拘泥做作的气习。达西立刻引起全场的注意，因为他身材魁伟，眉清目秀，举止高贵，于是他进场不到五分钟，大家都纷纷传说他每年有一万磅的收入。男宾们都称赞他的一表人才，女宾们都说他比彬格莱先生漂亮得多。”人们就是以财富来衡量一个人的。在达西与伊莉沙白的年代是趋于保守的，也会有贵族与平民的上的障碍;相较于现代这样的情形就会比较少发生。

若生在伊丽莎白和简的年代，命运完全不掌握在自己手中啊!
首先，你得出生在一个富贵之家，父母要有足够的产业和眼光来支持你的教育——那个时代，19世纪初时的社会(那时我国还是大清呢)，教育仍只能算贵族阶级的奢侈品。比如书里高高在上的凯瑟琳夫人听到伊丽莎白家里居然没有家庭教师感到惊奇，在她心目之中，私人化教育是一个富有之家必要的开支，任何请得起而不请家庭教师的家庭都是伪豪门。
然而，伊丽莎白其实眼界比普通有钱人家的小姐都要开阔，比如她懂得不单纯因为考林斯有钱便接受这个自私狭隘的男人的求婚。她追求平等，自由，尊重，颇有些现代女子的风范。即使没有家庭教师，不会画画又如何呢?没有什么比用眼睛看，用心感受更重要的生存技能了。
想来，这与她家里的宽松氛围和父母的眼界有很大关系。确切地说，是她的父亲。
伊丽莎白的母亲其实是个自私狭隘，爱财如命的小市民女子。这从她因为考林斯继承大笔财富便拼命想要伊丽莎白嫁给他便可见一斑。而伊丽莎白拒绝了考林斯之后，她又大吵大闹，像个泼妇一样，更不惜以断绝母女关系威胁伊丽莎白服从......
反观伊丽莎白的父亲，真是个可爱的老头儿。当女儿被妻子下达最后通牒之时，他却说，伊丽莎白你面临着艰难的选择：若你不嫁考林斯，你的母亲将与你断绝关系;而若你嫁了，那么我将与你断绝关系。
伊丽莎白嘴角露出微笑，原本忐忑的心被安抚了。她知道父亲爱她，也认可她的智慧和通达。有父亲在，她无需担心自己被命运捉弄，很大几率可以从心所欲选择想要的生活。
然而，时代的局限性依然存在。那个年代，女孩儿可是要结婚的哦。结了婚，可是要搞定三姑六婆的哦。即使像伊丽莎白和姐姐简如此优秀的女孩，也难免不为婚事伤神。
简，简直是女神一般的存在：美丽，温柔，大方，受过良好教育，深受男士们欢迎。美好如她，也会遭遇嫉妒，离间，爱人离她而去一系列的糟心事。伊丽莎白比姐姐刚强很多，也明显更加懂得把握命运。她直截了当拒绝了考林斯，可仍然难免在韦克翰和达西之间左右摇摆，偏见让她看不到真诚善良，却被伪装迷惑。

想来，这本书发表之时，不过区区2之前而已。200年以来，人世间发生了天翻地覆的变化，政权更迭，社会进步，科技发展，人们的思想天翻地覆。拿我国来说，100年前清朝覆灭，新社会成立，教育也逐渐完善。即使出身在贫苦之家，也有机会通过选拨获得教育资源，得到一份足以立足的机会和技能。
家庭的影响仍是巨大的，然而却不像那时一样出身决定了一切。婚姻的影响也弱化了，现在有许多人开始信奉不婚主义便可见一斑。若在200年前，那些女孩哪儿有得选择呢?即使她们内心抗拒婚姻，也免不了要为后半生的衣食住行开销而妥协。
有了自立的根本，人才可以选择命运。伊丽莎白若是生在现代，必是一位勇于追求内心的女性。而我也倍感庆幸，因为不仅作为非贵族的我通过努力得到了优质教育，而且也在婚姻选择中享受到了足够的自由。姑娘们不再像夏洛特一样为了财富嫁给跳梁小丑考林斯，这一切，皆是拜时代所赐啊。
话说考林斯此人，自私，小心眼，大男人主义，不懂得尊重女性。在伊丽莎白家做客时选择宣读《女诫》这样迂腐过时的书，让一众姐妹们心生反感，快人快语的莉迪亚则干脆毫不留情地打断了他。
这也可见伊丽莎白一家的家风相当开放，才让女孩们有胆量表达自己，也敢于打破禁锢追求幸福。真的要感谢父亲贝内特先生，他可以从伊丽莎白一个眼神便知道她心中所想，也从不吝惜为女儿们创造良好的机会认识优秀的年轻人。他的妹妹，女儿们的姑妈，也教会了伊丽莎白如何识别一个真正优秀的青年，不要为外表欺骗，看到一个人的内心。多么睿智的家长啊，也多亏了他们，女儿们才有了最后的幸福。
